Acupuncture is a therapy that encourages self-care and healthy body awareness and during the treatment, people experience a deep relaxation. Some symptoms that acupuncture can address are depression , anxiety, bloating, constipation/diarrhea, acid reflux, insomnia, headaches, irregular or painful periods. When a person is suffering from and/or recovering from an eating disorder, relief from these symptoms can facilitate and enhance the recovery process allowing people to focus on the issues of recovery with their other health-care providers.
