Crisis & Support Lines
You deserve support. You do not have to figure this out alone.
If you are in emotional distress, experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm, worried about someone else, or unsure where to turn, the resources below can help connect you with timely support.
EDAM is not a crisis service and does not provide emergency care. We share these resources to make it easier to identify an appropriate next step when support is needed.

These services offer immediate support for emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, self-harm concerns, behavioral health crises, substance use concerns, or worry about someone else.

Crisis Text Line
Free, confidential, 24/7 text-based support with a trained crisis counselor for people experiencing emotional distress or crisis.
Talking out loud feels too hard, you need discreet support, or communicating through text feels more accessible.
Information, screening, and treatment resources

You are worthy of care.
Reaching out for support does not mean you have failed. It means something feels too heavy to carry alone. If you are looking for eating disorder treatment or support in Maine, you can also explore EDAM’s provider directory and community resources.
