Peace Behavioral Health is a psychiatrist-owned outpatient psychiatry and psychology practice providing evidence-based care for children, adolescents, adults, and families. With offices in Saco and Portland, their team provides psychiatric care, medication management, psychotherapy, Family-Based Treatment (FBT), and a comprehensive in-person Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for adolescents and their families.

Adult and child psychiatrists Dr. David Walter and Dr. Nicolas Sikaczowski have specialized experience working with eating disorders, including previous work with the NEED Program and Galen Hope eating disorder PHP/IOP programs. Chloe Reichenbach, LCSW provides Family-Based Treatment, DBT, CBT, and other evidence-based therapies for individuals with eating disorders.

Individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatry, medication management, Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and professional training and education.

Services are available through a hybrid model, with both in-person and virtual appointments. The comprehensive DBT program for adolescents and their families is offered in person in Saco.

Conditions and Concerns Supported

Anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, ARFID, OSFED, disordered eating, body image concerns, and other mental health concerns that may co-occur with eating disorders.

Evidence-based, collaborative, individualized, and unrushed psychiatric and psychological care. Treatment approaches include Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), medication management, and other evidence-based therapies.

Insurance and Payment

Peace Behavioral Health is out of network with insurance plans. Private-pay options, HSA/FSA payments, and superbills for possible out-of-network reimbursement are available.

For the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Program for Adolescents, the practice may work with insurance companies to pursue Single Case Agreements when possible, which may allow services to be covered at in-network rates. Payment assistance may also be available through a nonprofit organization that works with the practice.
